A taste of Đồng Văn rocky plateau

Lê Thế Thắng

With Tết just around the corner, I’m suddenly missing the Đồng Văn highlands—the mountains shrouded in blue mist, the inquisitive looks from passersby, and the rich, radiant patterns of the Mong fabrics.

Come early spring, I hope to find myself once again cruising atop the Mã Pì Lèng Pass, weaving through the rugged crags of Mèo Vạc, and losing track of time in a quiet corner of the Đồng Văn fair market.
